The Big Game doesn’t necessarily have to mean The Big Gain. And with Flatout flatbread, it’s still totally possible to hang out with friends, have a blast, and still eat right and stay the course. I refuse to have a massive food hangover on Monday morning, because Monday is hard enough at it is, am I right? To that end, I’ve rounded up six of my favorite flatbread recipes that are good, no, SUPER, for Sunday’s game. So grab some flatbread at the store tonight and get to cooking, sports fans!
Need a fabulous appetizer that packs a serious spicy punch? Then look no further: try the bloody Mary inspired, hot and spicy "snake bites” using lump crabmeat and your favorite hot sauce. Or if you need something that travels, whip up some olive tapenade and some baked flatbread chips. Promise me that you’ll make enough chips. (Things could get ugly if you don’t.)
Or you could make a big bowl of a Chinese-style chicken salad and serve it up in mini baked flatbread bowls, the perfect one-two-three bite snack for halftime and beyond. Of course, while they’re eating that, have some black bean and spinach quesadillas waiting in the sidelines. Touchdown!
Our goddess of green dip never fails to satisfy, and with lemon pepper flatbread chips, it’s a mean green delicious machine at any party, sports or not. And speaking of dips, our winner of a pizza takes the 6 layer dip to a new level of eating well, and eating right.
No matter what side of the stadium you’re on, flatbread snacks will score big with all your players. And they don’t have to know that what they’re eating is actually good for them. So here’s to the winners, but here’s (especially) to the losers this Sunday! You know who you are.
