Summer is in full swing, so there’s absolutely no excuse not to have a pint of your favorite flavor of ice cream stashed somewhere in the freezer. And nope, popsicles don’t count!

When I first met my better half, I asked him what one of his favorite foods was during one of our phone conversations. His reply was so hilarious, I can still hear him. He said “Well, I’m from Massachusetts, so of course I love ice cream.” I thought about this for awhile, because I've never assumed that all Massachusetts residents have a love affair with ice cream, while he definitely did.

I looked it up; early settlers to America brought dairy cows to Massachusetts in the 1600s, so it’s been a vital part of the agriculture ever since. And of course, with all that dairy, comes ice cream.

My better half was in luck, because I own a commercial ice cream freezer, the kind that starts to freeze at the flick of a switch. In fact, sometimes I think that’s why he loves me, because I take ice cream seriously enough to have a large appliance dedicated to it. There are probably other reasons, too, but sometimes I wonder...

If you love ice cream treats as much as we do, then roll up your sleeves, grab some flatbread, and let’s celebrate summer in delicious style: with good old-fashioned ice cream treats!

Flatbread can turn an ordinary scoop of vanilla into something truly special, like our brand new matcha and coconut ice cream sandwiches.  Foldit flatbreads make awesome ice cream sandwiches that can be dipped, topped with a bevy of ingredients, and stashed in the freezer when you need something sweet.

The wraps make great ice cream cones, too! Roll them up, bake them, and fill them with Chubby Hubby or whatever your cold little heart desires. They even can be dipped in chocolate and rolled around in nuts, candy, sprinkles, you name it! Just plop a scoop into the cone and voilà, instantaneous delight.

Need a cute dessert idea for a crowd? Make a batch of flatbread bowls for a build your own sundae party. Kids and adults are wild about sundaes. Who wouldn’t be?

And if you have a bit of extra time on your hands, try these irresistible quick-fried ice cream filled chimichangas  Cinnamon, sugar, crispy crunchy sweet flatbread and vanilla ice cream makes everything okay.

The recipe for pistachio chocolate frozen roll-ups calls for frozen yogurt, but I won’t mind if you switch out the yogurt for ice cream. Either way, it’s a super decadent way to end a meal, especially for pistachio lovers.

However you enjoy ice cream, flatbread can make it fun, creative, and most of all, delicious. Just promise me that you’ll make enough for the ones you love, especially if they’re from Massachusetts!
